What is Unity?
Unity is positive, practical Christianity. We teach the effective daily application of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ. We promote a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness and peace of mind. Unity has established centers of study and worship throughout the world where people discover and practice the Unity way of life. We address physical, mental and emotional needs through affirmative prayer and spiritual education. We serve those who seek inspiration and prayer support as well as those who use Unity teachings as their primary path of spiritual growth. We believe that all people are created with sacred worth, and we strive to reach out to all who seek support and spiritual growth. Therefore, we recognize the importance of serving all people in spiritually and emotionally caring ways. Our ministries and outreaches are free of discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability and sexual orientation. We are one.
5 basic principles

ONE PRESENCE AND ONE POWER - GOD THE GOOD, OMNIPOTENT
God is everywhere equally present; active in our lives, in all life and in all situations.
Children’s: God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
God is the source and creator of all. There is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.
There is only one Presence and one Power active as the universe and as my life, God the Good.

Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence, called the Christ, was fully expressed in Jesus.
DIVINITY IN ALL HUMAN KIND - Because God is everywhere, God is also within everyone. This is true regardless of how a person presents him or herself in any moment.
Children’s: I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.
We are spiritual beings, created in God's image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore, all people are inherently good.
Prayer and meditation are our daily connections with God’s loving presence through the Christ indwelling.
Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.
AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER - Prayer is the most important thing we can do to help ourselves or someone else. We pray as Jesus did giving thanks in advance claiming our good.
Children’s: Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
We believe this spiritual understanding is enhanced through reflective prayer and meditation.
There is power in affirmative prayer, which we believe increases our connection to God.
Through the power of thought you can transform your life.
We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.
LAW OF MIND ACTION - Our lives are created by what we focus our thoughts upon.
Children’s: I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.
Daily practice of the principles creates a life of blessing.
Through thoughts, words and actions, we live the Truth we know.
PRACTICE WHAT YOU KNOW - This principle is the underpinning of all the others. To know is not enough. We must carry this forward into each day and every situation.
Children’s: I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!
Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them.
Christ Church Unity Church Prayer
The radiance of the Christ fills us to overflowing with the blessing of God’s love.
We give thanks for the divine activity of the Holy Spirit that establishes healing, abundant prosperity, joyous and loving relationships, guidance, wisdom and understanding that permeate all of our people and activities.
We are growing in God’s good. Our services, classes and activities are filled with joyous, loving, supportive people, eager to grow in God’s truth and bless each other.
We and our church are beacons of infinite blessings. The radiance of divine love attracts to us all that is necessary to be in joyful service to God and God’s children.
Divine Order operates joyously and completely in every aspect of our church and in every aspect of our lives.
We release all that is not of the Christ, all limiting beliefs, ideas and actions.
We incorporate the Christ consciousness in all our thoughts, words and actions. We affirm peace in our lifetime. The power of prayer is evident in mighty, healing, transforming ways.
Thank You, God, for Your continual infilling that establishes Your kingdom of blessing on earth.
